MLS Match Day 5 saw a quick end to the Colorado Rapids’ 18-game winless streak with a 4-0 away victory over FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium.
A second-minute strike by Rapids rookie Dominique Badji ended the 601-minute goal drought, with more to come from Dillon Powers, Gabriel Torres, and substitute Dillon Serna to give FC Dallas their second loss of the 2015 season. Powers also added an assist to his tally, setting up Badji’s goal with a long cross from the right wing, effectively keeping the Rapids from setting a new MLS winless record.
Colorado’s last win was against Chivas USA on July 26, 2014.
Next game on deck for the Rapids is at home against the Seattle Sounders on April 18th. FC Dallas will face Toronto FC at home the same day.
